Counter-Strike’s competitive scene has always been a battleground—not just between teams but also between anti-cheat developers and cheaters. FACEIT, one of the largest third-party platforms for competitive CS2, is taking its fight against cheating to a whole new level. With its latest updates, the platform is cracking down on fraudsters, reinforcing its verification system, and giving premium users more flexibility in matchmaking.

FACEIT Anti-Cheat: Shutting Down Myths & DMA Cheats
For years, players have debated whether certain cheats—like Direct Memory Access (DMA) exploits—are undetectable on FACEIT. The answer? They’re not. FACEIT’s anti-cheat operates at the kernel level, meaning it has deep system access to detect all game-related activity, including those attempting to manipulate game data in real time.
But why aren’t cheaters banned instantly?
FACEIT strategically delays some bans to prevent cheat developers from adapting too quickly. Instead of immediately removing every cheater, they observe, analyze, and gather data to make future detections even stronger. This ensures that once a cheat is flagged, everyone using it is caught.
However, exploit-based bans are instant. Take, for example, the sv_cheats exploit that led to 340 players being banned immediately, or the two recent wallhack bugs, where 350 cheaters were wiped out instantly.
1 Million Verified Players & Smurf Prevention
Smurfing and fraudulent accounts have been a major issue in CS2 matchmaking. FACEIT is addressing this problem with tighter ID verification measures and a crackdown on verification abuse.
Over 2,000 accounts lost their verification badges due to suspicious activity.
Verified matches now have 48% fewer leavers and stronger matchmaking integrity.
It’s now harder for smurfs and repeat offenders to return with new accounts.
These changes make FACEIT one of the most trusted and smurf-free environments for competitive CS2.
More Flexibility for Premium Players
Waiting in queue but need to tweak your settings? FACEIT’s new queue pause update allows premium users to adjust matchmaking preferences without losing queue time. Whether you need a break or decide to change the match type, you no longer have to start over.
Other matchmaking fixes include:
Improved visibility for party status.
Queue time fixes for NA and SEA players.
Leaderboard point corrections.
FACEIT’s Long-Term Plan for Fair Play
FACEIT is proving that competitive integrity isn’t just a goal—it’s an ongoing battle they’re committed to winning. With smarter anti-cheat systems, stronger verification processes, and a continuously improving matchmaking experience, FACEIT remains the go-to platform for serious Counter-Strike players.
One thing is clear: cheaters won’t last long on FACEIT.
