The rifle’s body has been painted with an intricate floral pattern of intertwined vines, flowers and leaves. The color scheme of the pattern consides various shades of green and brown. The barrel, magazine, and the rear part of the buttstock remain unpainted.

The skin's Float Value ranges from 0.00 to 0.55, which makes G3SG1 | New Roots available in all conditions. Small abrasions already appear on the body of the weapon in Factory New condition. At levels of wear close to the maximum, the number and size of abrasions increase.
