The blade of the knife is adorned with an abstract pattern made with aluminum and chrome paints and coated with red translucent paint. The handle is unpainted and complemented with dark red inserts.

Float Value of the skin ranges from 0.00 to 0.26, which makes Butterfly Knife | Slaughter available only in Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested condition. Levels of wear can be determined by the size and number of abrasions, which start to appear along the cutting edge. At Float Values close to the maximum, abrasions also appear on the spine.

The quality of Butterfly Knife | Slaughter is Covert. In some pattern variations, the elements of the pattern create different shapes resembling a heart, a diamond, an angel, etc. The skin has a StatTrak option and belongs to the "Slaughter" series.
