XM1014 | Blue Steel was added to the game on November 27, 2013, as part of The Lake Collection, which was released alongside the “Out with the old, in with the new” update.

The body of the shotgun has been cold blued, which provided metal surfaces with pale purple, blue and green areas. Traces of patina are also present on the body. The handguard, the handle, the buttstock and individual small parts of the weapon are not painted.

Float Value of the skin ranges from 0.00 to 1.00, which makes XM1014 | Blue Steel available in all conditions. Small abrasions are already present on the unpainted parts of the shotgun in Factory New condition, the cold blued parts of the body have small traces of patina. At levels of wear close to the maximum, the number and size of abrasions remain unchanged, the cold blued parts of the weapon are coated with a layer of patina, which makes the skin look noticeably darker.

The quality of XM1014 | Blue Steel is Industrial Grade. The skin has a souvenir option and belongs to the "Blue Steel" series.
