This skin was introduced to CS:GO in the Chroma Update in 2015. Since its introduction, it has become a player's favorite due to its rusted, grunge aesthetic.

The ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat skin is only available for the Butterfly Knife.

The feeling of authenticity and roughness is what sets this skin apart from others. It features a faux rust pattern that gives the knife a realistic weathered, worn-out look, as if it has seen many battles. Additionally, it comes with the StatTrak™ technology, keeping track of the owner's kill count.

The ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat was released as part of the Chroma Update, alongside a range of other skins and knives.

Despite its rusted and worn appearance, the Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat easily maintains its lethal edge, similar to the way an experienced soldier's abilities aren't diminished by their age or their scars.

Valve has not publicly named the designer of this specific skin.

Despite the 'rusted' visual aesthetic, the knife's operation and StatTrak™ functionality remain unaffected and work perfectly.

The ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat is appreciated and highly-rated by CS:GO community members who enjoy a gritty, rustic aesthetic in their weapon skins.

This skin was one of the first to offer a design that suggested wear and tear as a styled choice, not just a function of skin quality.

The ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat is popular due to its unique design, ultra-rare status, and because it offers an aesthetic different from the sleek and flashy styles of many other skins.
