Tec-9 | Fubar (Field-Tested)

The Tec-9 | Fubar is an edgy, rugged-looking skin for the Tec-9 pistol. It was introduced in February 2019 as part of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Map 2 Collection.

Fubar is a 'Consumer Grade' skin, which makes it quite common to come across in drops. However, its worn, battle-hardened appearance makes it a popular choice among certain players.

The Tec-9 | Fubar was introduced in 2019 as part of a collection celebrating Map 2, a popular stage in the CS:GO scene.

Among the Tec-9 skins, Fubar has a cult following. Its distressed look appeals to players who prefer a realistic, in-the-trenches aesthetic.

This skin is designed exclusively for the Tec-9 pistol.

The Fubar is covered in scratches, rust, and chipped paint, giving it a distinct look of a weapon that's seen many battles. This worn-out appearance sets it apart from many other Tec-9 skins.

Since the Tec-9 | Fubar was part of a collection celebrating a map, its release didn't coincide with any major CS:GO events.

The term 'Fubar' is a military slang acronym, roughly translating to 'Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition'. This speaks to the skin's substantially worn look.

As a 'Consumer Grade' skin, it’s unclear who specifically designed the Tec-9 | Fubar.

The Fubar's design relies on textures and patterns to emulate a realistic worn-out, distressed appearance.

Players have mixed feelings about this skin, some love the realistic worn-out appearance while others prefer cleaner, more detailed designs.

Being a part of Map 2 Collection, Tec-9 | Fubar holds some historical significance to fans of the map and those who appreciate its battle-hardened look.

Outside of its availability, the Tec-9 | Fubar's main draw is its unique aesthetic. It stands out among the more 'polished' skins with its distressed, battle-worn appeal.

The release of the Fubar didn't coincide with any influential events, reaching its popularity organically through its unique worn-out design.

This skin was created to appear worn-out and heavily used, contributing a sense of realism and history to the weapon.

With its worn-out character, the Tec-9 | Fubar can be interpreted as a symbol of battle-hardened experience and tenacity.

The Tec-9 | Fubar successfully caters to players that take a liking to more grounded and immersive aesthetics, creating a sense of belonging to those players.

Its release didn't significantly impact the community, but it has since found a place among fans of more weathered and realistic skins.

While not particularly common in esports, it's still occasionally seen due to its unique and rugged appearance.

Those who prefer their guns looking like they've seen action tend to gravitate towards the Fubar, forming a small but dedicated fan base.
